Upcoming Event: 2013/2014 Backcountry Film Festival

This Saturday January 11, the Wyoming Wilderness Association in partnership with the Winter Wildlands Alliance will be hosting the 9th annual Backcountry Film Festival at the Pink Garter Theater. As in years past, the film festival explores the human powered winter experience in the back country while helping to raise awareness and funds for local non-profit groups whose efforts are focused on environmental advocacy, snow-safety education and outdoor education programs

Whether you immediately recognize his name, or just know you’ve “heard it somewhere” you can most likely recall the name Ira Glass. The legendary host and producer of the show This American Life will be making and appearance at Center for the Arts for one night only this Saturday.

Clear skis and cold temperatures created prime ski conditions in the Tetons as New Year’s Eve lurks around the corner. Continue to use caution out in the mountains, as deep persistent layers are still ever present.
