New Chairlift Coming to Jackson Hole

During the summer of 2011, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will be relocating the East Ridge chairlift from Rendezvous Bowl to a new location near Thunder Chairlift. The “Trapper Chairlift” will connect the north and south sides of the mountain.

Though we told him not to, the idiot still jumped over thirty feet onto an icy landing on one of the hardest runs in North America. He didn’t break anything, miraculously, but he is definitely sore.

Time Lapse

This is a time-lapse compilation by Jackson Hole wildlife photographer Mike Cavaroc. It was shot exclusively in Grand Teton National Park and the National Elk Refuge outside of Jackson, Wyoming. At 0:54 is footage of Miller Butte in the National Elk Refuge. It’s the only clip that isn’t in Grand Teton National Park. The final clip, starting at 1:35, is of Earth’s shadow rising above Antelope Flats in Grand Teton National Park. Steam from Kelly Warm Springs is visible in the lower-right corner.
