Surfing Lunchcounter

Land-locked surfers from Idaho, Montana and Wyoming gather at the Snake River to ride the river-driven waves. As the Snake River continues to rise, expect waves like “Lunch Counter” to grow in size and maybe even barrel. After a certain point, the flood of water in the canyon blows the wave out, but it’ll come back later in the season. Hang Ten Jackson Hole!

New Chairlift Coming to Jackson Hole

During the summer of 2011, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will be relocating the East Ridge chairlift from Rendezvous Bowl to a new location near Thunder Chairlift. The “Trapper Chairlift” will connect the north and south sides of the mountain.

Though we told him not to, the idiot still jumped over thirty feet onto an icy landing on one of the hardest runs in North America. He didn’t break anything, miraculously, but he is definitely sore.
