As Santa slipped out the trap door of the Tram, the merry ol’ melee of the holiday season was kicked off. Sporting the trendiest of one-piece throwbacks, holiday visitors scurried around the Village with skis sprawled awkwardly in their arms like a flailing child. Alas, the honeymoon is over. No more private gondolas. No more leisurely wake-ups. Nevertheless, Jacksonites have little to complain over as yet another storm approaches.

Fast groomers injected riders with a cheap shot of confidence as they mached GS turns down the mountain. Others retreated to Casper Woods where pockets of soft snow still remained for the taking. Hopefully, the din of artificial snowmaking upsets Mother Nature and beckons her snowy wrath. Come on Momma, show us how its done! ... Read More

“Clear, cold and dry” is how Hemmingway would have put it today, as frigid temperatures were left in wake of the recent storm. While some riders feasted on left-overs, the ambitious trotted up bootpacks to plunder stashes buried in the Crags. Either way, everyone still sported the smiles of yesterday.

Riders shuffled anxiously in line as the howitzer drummed off the Tetons this powder morning. Thanks to the diligent work of JH Ski Patrol, the Tram launched soon after nine o’clock, opening the flood gates to the powder-hungry masses. Crisp and clear blue skies complimented the eleven inches blanketing everything in sight. With pristine visibility and boundless untracked terrain, riders charged as hard as their legs would allow.
