Free Arts Event on Saturday in Grand Teton National Park
The Grand Teton Association invites the public to join plein air painter Greg McHuron on Saturday, 6/11/11 on location at Grant Teton National Park’s Chapel of Transfiguration. McHuron, a renowned artist will demonstrate plein air painting on site. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with a master artist while he creates a piece of work live. The Chapel of Transfiguration is located just inside the Moose entrance to Grand Teton National Park.
Greg McHuron co-founded “Artist in the Environment” with landscape artist Conrad Schwiering and has been painting in the Western United States for over 35 years. McHuron’s masterful triskaidekatych wall painting, a 13-piece mural depitcting the region’s wildlife and habitat, graces the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitors Center in Jackson. His work is also part of the National Wildlife Art Museum’s permanent collection.
