Like a little kid on Christmas Eve with a brand new bike waiting for him downstairs, it is going to be hard for skiers and snowboarders to keep the excitement level down enough to get a few hours of sleep tonight. In the morning we get to tear through the wrapping paper of the greatest of all holiday gifts, the terrain at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Just like last year, Old Man Winter has wrapped it up tight and put a big red bow on it, with almost 80 inches of snow fallen so far this season. The mountain opens with over 3000 vertical feet of skiing accessed by the Bridger Gondola, Thunder Quad, NEW Marmot Lift, Casper Lift, Apres Vous and Teewinot. There is a couple of great quotes from both Jim Woodmencey of MountainWeather.com and Bob Comey from the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center in this video. And to make the night even more excrutiating, Jackson Hole teases with powder turns from team riders Adam Dowell and Lynset Dyer. So try and get some shut eye tonight Jackson, let the images of smiling friends and pow slashes dance in your head, and hopefully we will see you out on the hill tomorrow.
