Thanks to the tireless work of JH ski patrol, the gondola began to load around 9:30 this morning, shortly followed by the Tram sometime before 10:00. Top to bottom, conditions were all-time with snow falling incessantly and collecting in waist-deep pockets. No matter how you spin the tale, the conclusion will likely be the same: It was the best day in Jackson Hole so far this season.

12/20/11 – Members of the Jackson Hole High School ski team hit Snow King for an afternoon practice session. “The town hill” is the home base for the Broncs and has played host to numerous ski races and events since Mike O’Neil built the first ski jump here in 1925

As the festive weekend approaches, we spotlight happenings around Jackson in celebration of Halloween. From haunted mazes to late night parties, there’s something for everyone around town this weekend.

With just over a month before the chairlifts in the region begin to spin, ski areas in the Tetons are actively preparing for the 2011/12 season. We preview improvements at local ski areas including Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee and Snow King Resort. .
