Episode 6: Summer

In the final episode of the On Snow and Ice and Rock series, Brandon Gust and Dorian Densmore find themselves getting up high in the Tetons to take advantage of snowfall that lasted long into last summer. Ropes, crampons and ice axes allow them to get to some lines that only few have skied before. The series ends, fittingly, where it began, in the Tetons with some beautiful shots that remind us of the awesome power of these mountains.

Episode 5: Back from Alaska

In the fifth episode of the On Snow and Ice and Rock series, skier Dorian Densmore returns home from Alaska to find the Tetons still completely covered in snow. Last season’s seemingly endless winter allows Dorian to hit some lines that are otherwise unskiable.

Cold Smoke Awards 2012 Trailer

The selections for the 2012 Cold Smoke Awards have been announced and we see a lot of familiar names on the list. This ski and snowboard film festival that takes place in Bozeman, MT on Febrauary 11, 2012 sets out to pick the best of the best out of the films that premiered over the last year.

It it easy to see why the Tetons are used by a lot of big mountain skiers as a training ground to set-up for the huge lines in Alaska. Dorian Densmore certainly shows that he got his training in as he tears up the lines he skis in this episode. Combine that with even more skilled camera/editing work from Brandon Gust, and we have another great chapter in this story.
