Split snowboading enthusiast Stephen Williams encounters 60+ mph winds ascending the final pitch of a skin track in the Teton Pass backcountry,

As the snow continues to fall at Teton Village, the McKinnerney family enjoys the winter conditions by building a “snow family” and hurling snowballs while on Thanksgiving vacation.

Local skier Kent Hobson finds a fresh line down the yet to open Snow King Resort in Jackson, Wyoming. A storm rolled through the Tetons this week dropping a couple feet of snow and skiers and snowboarders are getting amped for the 2011/2012 season.

The crowd enjoys Chris Dickey’s short animated film ‘Chalk & Ski’ at the 2011 Backcountry Film Festival. The festival featured several short films that celebrated the human powered backcountry experience.

The Jackson Hole Moose hockey team sprinted out to an early lead Saturday night against the Missoula Cutthroat. The home team entertained an enthusiastic crowd in the 11-6 scoring frenzy at Snow King Arena

Jackson Hole residents were greeted with a blanket of fresh snow when they awoke this morning. The snowfall has been increasing all morning and the forecast is calling it to stay for a while.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort received a good dusting of snow over the weekend with some measurable snow in high elevations. Only 19 days remain until opening day and local skiers are doing snow dances in hopes of a full coverage opening similar to last season.

Overlooking the National Elk Refuge, the newly constructed sculpture trail traverses a sage brush hillside at the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

It’s pretty fun to be in Jackson Hole during the shoulder season, especially when 307 Live brings musical acts like Affroman to town on a Thursday night to let loose and get down.
