Surf Wyoming! Never thought I’d hear that phrase until I moved up here and saw it for myself. I’ve heard of surfing river waves before but I always assumed it only existed in exotic locations like the Amazon; when I saw guys surfing the lunch counter wave on the Snake River it finally sunk in. Shooting photos of boats running the whitewater section has been one of the coolest summer jobs I’ve had so far, but the added perk of being able to watch and have the chance to snap photos of top level athletes like Bryan Iguchi and Travis Rice in action has been a real highlight of the season.
