Hundred Days

03/1/11

The Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole

With Powder Magazine’s Powder Week in full swing at Jackson Hole, the Tram line was a hodgepodge of locals, visitors, and inconspicuous titans of the ski industry. Just ahead in the grid, a skier shuffled along with a pair of Icelantics and two cane poles that you’d imagine Mark Twain would have used if he ever skied. “Sweet poles, man.” “Thanks, it’s their first day out. I love ‘em!” Unbeknownst to us, the skier was Ben Anderson, founder of Icelantic skis. Super cool and pumped to be in Jackson, Ben chatted with us while we waited for the Tram to dock. The chance encounter reaffirmed that the stoke runs all the way to the top! -Z
