Like Arnold Palmer at the Masters, or Michael Jordan in the NBA Finals, the winter season in Jackson Hole is performing like a champion. A quick pulse of snowfall lasting through the morning powered riders through a partly cloudy afternoon that echoed moments of spring. Anticipation built throughout the day at the resort. “Could it set up the same way it did Tuesday?”, refering to the 16 inches that fell during daylight earlier this week. Storm clouds created white out conditions in the bowl, but the wind blown freshies left in their wake more than made up for the difficult visibility.
Props to the Park & Pipe crew for putting in double time to build up the Stash Parks. After eight gondola laps in a row, its official that the Stash-to-Stash-to-Pipe-to-Park has to be one of the top freestyle lines in the country! Both the town of Jackson and Teton Village wil be ALIVE this weekend. A toxic combination of snow fall, snowmobile hill climb, live music, and well promoted beer specials will be stirring the crowds into a frenzy. However you express yourself, do it… just don’t get arrested.
