What a day, what a day, what a day indeed! Blue bird skies and soft snow afforded a high frequency of beautiful runs right from the gun. For those who’d been hankering to hike or two, today was a good one for that.

Jackson Hole, Snow King and Grand Targhee are joyfully recovering from an intense round of snowfall that exploded through the Tetons dropping nearly 5ft of powder.

01/21/12 – Nearly 30 inches of snow has fallen in Jackson Hole in the last 48 hours. Steve Williams got his share today. Did you get yours?

Get Your Rest

Thanks to the tireless work of JH ski patrol, the gondola began to load around 9:30 this morning, shortly followed by the Tram sometime before 10:00. Top to bottom, conditions were all-time with snow falling incessantly and collecting in waist-deep pockets. No matter how you spin the tale, the conclusion will likely be the same: It was the best day in Jackson Hole so far this season.
