An inspiring film starring paraplegic athlete and author Jeremy Mcghee, Drop In recounts a two year obsession of climbing and skiing Bloody Couloir, a 2,600 vertical foot face located in California’s Eastern Sierra Range.

Live Music: Tribal Seeds at the Pink Garter Theater January 22nd

For Jackson, a classic reggae dance party with a native, rock rhythm doesn’t happen often enough. Well, it’s time to break out your inner Rastafarian because the six-man San Diego based band, Tribal Seeds, is returning to Pink Garter Theater, this Wednesday, January 22.

Upcoming Event: 2013/2014 Backcountry Film Festival

This Saturday January 11, the Wyoming Wilderness Association in partnership with the Winter Wildlands Alliance will be hosting the 9th annual Backcountry Film Festival at the Pink Garter Theater. As in years past, the film festival explores the human powered winter experience in the back country while helping to raise awareness and funds for local non-profit groups whose efforts are focused on environmental advocacy, snow-safety education and outdoor education programs

What makes Jackson’s music scene great these days is the diversity coming through our venues and bars. Mountain towns will always have a fair share of great reggae and jam-band acts passing through their snowy streets but it seems Jackson is stepping up the game to bring us a variety of music that you would be hard pressed to find in a large city. This Sunday, December 29, at the Pink Garter, Western swing band Asleep At The Wheel will be bringing their legendary sound and continue Jackson’s music education.
