1/06/12 – On their way into the Jackson Hole backcountry, Charlie Senn along with Sam Allan get the green light from the avalanche beacon checkpoint. Several of these checkpoints have been installed at various access points to the backcountry thanks to the combined efforts of Outerlocal, Backcountry Access and Outdoor Research.

01/05/12 – Only two hours after being cleared by the doctor, Jedd Johnston makes his first turns of the ski season. Jedd had a meniscus repair back in October and has been looking forward to this day the minute he got out of surgery.

12/20/11 – Members of the Jackson Hole High School ski team hit Snow King for an afternoon practice session. “The town hill” is the home base for the Broncs and has played host to numerous ski races and events since Mike O’Neil built the first ski jump here in 1925

Jerry Joseph was in town Saturday night at the Town Square Tavern presented by 307 Live. Joseph is touring the Rocky Mountain West on his way to his hometown of Portland, OR for a four night New Years Run.

The Wildlife Film Festival, Cougar Fund, and Wildlife Art Museum presents “American Cougar.” The documentary screening coincides with the premier of “Big Cat Week,” showing on Nat Geo.
