Athletes, filmmakers and fans will pack the seats to see who amongst the 17 nominated films will take home awards in categories such as Best Powder, Best Cinematography, Best Urban Riding and more. The awards will be handed out by esteemed presenters including Scot Schmidt and Greg Stump of the legendary ski film Blizzard of Aahs, mountaineer and Bozeman native Conrad Anker, and last year’s Soul Award winner Matt Herriger, amongst others. This year’s list of nominated films includes big name productions from Sherpas Cinemas, Sweetgrass Productions and Teton Gravity Research and the Coldsmoke Awards also features the People’s Choice Award of $5,000 to the film voted most by the fans online. After the show, the revelries will continue with live music from Jackson Hole’s own Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons and the celebration of winter culture will go into the late hours of the night.
