2013 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival & Great Apes Summit

Starting this weekend, some of the most prolific names in the wildlife and conservation film industry will arrive in Jackson Hole for the 2013 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. Every other year, the festival hosts a full slate of events including screenings, symposiums, discussions and keynote speakers and is becoming internationally known as the premiere event of its kind. This year, for the first time, the Festival includes a conservation summit focusing on great apes and welcomes the famous Jane Goodall to speak at the Center for the Arts. The general public is invited to join in the festival with events and screenings at the Center and Jackson Lake Lodge over the next week.

Great Apes Summit

This year, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival partners with the Great Apes Survial Partnership and the Arcus Foundation to present the Great Apes Conservation Summit. Focusing on human’s complex relationship with great apes, the summit aims to bring together involved parties including the famous Jane Goodall to present proposals and create action to secure a future for great apes around the world. Events for the Public

Although a good amount of the events of Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival are aimed towards industry members, there are also plenty of opportunities for the community enjoy the films and keynote speakers. From screening punch cards, to ticketed and free events at the Center for the Arts, the festival has more ways than ever for the public to experience this wonderful week of events.
