2nd Annual Great Snow Festival

Skijoring and Snocross

Teton Valley steps it up this weekend with the 2nd Annual Great SnowFest featuring fat bike events, touring opportunities, public arts, skijoring races and its first snowmobile snocross.

Friday through Sunday, winter enthusiasts can participate, spectate or volunteer in a variety of events including:

  • Fat Bike Race & Demo at Grand Targhee and Kotler Arena
  • Snowmobile Snocross hosted by Snowliners Motor Club in Victor
  • Wildlife Ski Tour with Teton Regional Land Trust
  • Rodeo Skijoring through partnership with Hapi Trails
  • The Snowball II at Driggs City Center

Getting To Teton Valley

Teton Valley, Idaho, located 18 miles from Wilson WY, is situated at the western base of the Teton Range. From Victor to Alta, Teton Valley offers stunning views, incredible snow, and friendly communities. Getting there is easy, about 1 hour from the Jackson Hole Airport and 45 minutes from Idaho Falls. Once in Teton Valley, take advantage of the new shuttle service offered by Grand Targhee Resort that supports commuter access to Targhee Village.

Teton Springs, Moose Creek Ranch, and Fox Creek Inn as well as other lodging operators in Teton Valley are offering special rates for SnowFest participants.

The Second Annual Fat Bike Race at Grand Targhee Resort

Snow Biking at Grand Targhee Resort

Winter biking is rapidly gaining traction and riders in the Greater Teton Region are a major part of the movement. Grand Targhee Resort recognized this, and became the first ski resort in the United States to embrace and endorse fat bikes onto its nordic trail system.

Building upon momentum from the 2012 event, Grand Targhee celebrates its second Fat Bike Race. With divisions ranging from 15k (1 lap on the nordic track) to 45k (3 laps on the nordic track). Snow bike demos will be available before and after the race.
