Canon and American Park Network are pleased to bring the 6th Annual Photography in the Parks free digital photography workshops to Teton Village and Grand Teton National Park. Take part in a photo or video walk with seasoned professionals who share their experience taking landscape and wildlife photographs and shooting high definition videos using the latest Canon digital technology. Learn to improve your photo composition skills and tap into your inner artist in one of the most iconic parks in America. Workshops will meet in the Village Commons.

Free Group Photography Sessions
Canon has been traveling to the country’s most dramatic outdoor locations, including Grand Canyon, Zion, and Yellowstone National Parks, providing photography workshops free of charge. Expert instructors will be hosting free sessions in Teton Village to help photographers enhance photo and video skills. No camera? No problem. Just bring yourself and your imagination. Canon will have free demo gear to use during the instructional sessions.

FAQ and Workshop Information
Q: Do I need a camera to participate?
Yes, but if you don’t have one, you are welcome to use any of our cameras, lenses, and memory cards at NO CHARGE. The workshops use digital SLRs, which offer greater control and flexibility than point and shoot cameras.
Q: Do I need photography experience?
No experience is necessary and we welcome all skill levels. When you register, you’ll be asked about your experience level and will be entered into a class that matches your skills or goals based on your response.
Q: Is there anything that I should bring??
Only yourself, but we encourage you to wear a wide-brimmed hat and that you have water, sunscreen, and insect repellent. If you plan on checking out equipment, you’ll also need to bring a valid license and credit card.

Workshop Location
Learn how to capture the light (and a little magic) with instructors as you walk in the shadow of the majestic Teton Range. Workshops convene at the Village Commons of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village at 9am, 12:30pm and 4:30pm.

Grand Teton National Park sits at the epicenter of an outdoor nirvana that welcomes millions of visitors each year. The Teton Range rises majestically along the western edge of the scenic valley known as Jackson Hole, which provides prime habitat for the area’s wildlife. Whether you plan to relax and take in the view or actively explore Grand Teton’s many highlights, you will be rewarded with opportunities to capture the region’s unique natural beauty, wildlife and its human history.
