Labor Weekend Round Up
Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend is the grand finale of summer. The holiday weekend is one last chance to let loose before the fall months are upon us. In a mountain town where winter last 8 months of year, the last days of summer are going to be a good time.
Friday September 2nd
Whiskey Morning
Happy hour on the Couloir Deck at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a must see for anyone visiting the Tetons. The deck is known to be a hip scene that offers incredible views. On Friday, Jackson based band Whiskey Morning will be entertaining the crowd with an eclectic array of rock and funk.
The Deck is located at 9,025 ft at the summit of gondola. There is a two for one happy hour between 5-6PM that is very popular and the gondola ride up is FREE. Come support live music in one of the most unique settings anywhere in the Rockies.
The happy hour on the deck has received great reviews and the five star restaurant upstairs is world class. For more information about the Couloir Resturant, or the happy hour on the deck, contact Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Jalan Crossland Band
What’s Good Here Productions is at it again, this time featuring Wyoming rocker and acclaimed guitarist Jalan Crossland. The Wyoming native will be in town on Friday to rock in the holiday weekend with style. Coming off two sold out shows this past winter, the concert at Town Square Tavern this weekend is sure to ignite some down home dance parties and feet stomping action. Bring out your Big Horn dance moves, this is going to be good time!

Saturday 9/3
Hootenanny Invitational at the Farmers Market
Saturday mornings at the farmers market are a community gathering in celebration of Wyoming’s short harvest season. Each week, musicians sit beneath the Elk antler arches to perform sets of laid back mountain music. This weekend, talented stand outs from the Hootenanny, an open mic right of passage held each Monday at Dornan’s in the national park, will perform folk and bluegrass classics in mountain style. Led by legendary Jackson local Bill Briggs, the Hoot Invitational is sure to be a crowd pleasing event complimentary to unique vibe on town square during the market.
The 2nd Annual Labor Day Pub Crawl
What happens when dozens of ski town die-hards gather to imitate gapers on a bar crawl? We have no idea, but can guarantee the town of Jackson is going to find out. Building upon the inaugural celebration in 2010, this years’ Labor Day pub crawl is a creative celebration to mark the end of the summer season.
Your finest tourist impression or gaper gear is encouraged, with props and high fives going to the best male and female attire. The pub crawl starts at 9pm at the Silver Dollar Bar. Notable stops on the tour of Jackson nightlife establishments may include Thai Me Up, The Cowboy, The Cadillac, Town Tavern, Koshu, and random house parties.
To learn more about the pub crawl, visit the events page Facebook. With the enthusiasm of organizers leading the way, this is sure to be a fun filled evening where the locals take back the town!
Sunday 9/4
Screen Door Porch at the Q Roadhouse
- Sunday 9/4
- The Q Roadhouse, Village Rd
- 7pm – 10pm
- Admission: Free
- Presented by: Screen Door Porch
This busy Jackson Hole based band has been playing festivals touring throughout the country all summer long. After releasing a combined three EPs and three full-length albums with other projects, the core duo of Screen Door Porch—Seadar Rose and Aaron Davis—have shaped a songwriting bedrock described by The Austin Chronicle as, “a combination that goes down as smoothly as top-shelf bourbon.” The bands returns to the Q Roadhouse to showcase their talent in the laid back western setting for a Sunday-Funday finale to Labor Day weekend.
