Saturday mornings at the farmers market are a community gathering in celebration of Wyoming’s short harvest season. Each week, musicians sit beneath the Elk antler arches to perform sets of laid back mountain music. This weekend, talented stand outs from the Hootenanny, an open mic right of passage held each Monday at Dornan’s in the national park, will perform folk and bluegrass classics in mountain style. Led by legendary Jackson local Bill Briggs, the Hoot Invitational is sure to be a crowd pleasing event complimentary to unique vibe on town square during the market.

What happens when dozens of ski town die-hards gather to imitate gapers on a bar crawl? We have no idea, but can guarantee the town of Jackson is going to find out. Building upon the inaugural celebration in 2010, this years’ Labor Day pub crawl is a creative celebration to mark the end of the summer season.

Your finest tourist impression or gaper gear is encouraged, with props and high fives going to the best male and female attire. The pub crawl starts at 9pm at the Silver Dollar Bar. Notable stops on the tour of Jackson nightlife establishments may include Thai Me Up, The Cowboy, The Cadillac, Town Tavern, Koshu, and random house parties.

To learn more about the pub crawl, visit the events page Facebook. With the enthusiasm of organizers leading the way, this is sure to be a fun filled evening where the locals take back the town!

This busy Jackson Hole based band has been playing festivals touring throughout the country all summer long. After releasing a combined three EPs and three full-length albums with other projects, the core duo of Screen Door Porch—Seadar Rose and Aaron Davis—have shaped a songwriting bedrock described by The Austin Chronicle as, “a combination that goes down as smoothly as top-shelf bourbon.” The bands returns to the Q Roadhouse to showcase their talent in the laid back western setting for a Sunday-Funday finale to Labor Day weekend.
