2011 Wydaho Rendezvous Mountain Bike Festival

Mountain Bikers from all over the west will be gathering in WYDAHO – Teton Valley, Idaho – for a weekend-long celebration of the sport. The event features mutiple daily cross country group rides for all abilities, skills clinics, bike demos, a downhill race, parties and more.

Mountain Bike Races

Grand Targhee will host two races coinciding with the Wydaho Rendeavous. On Saturday, the action begins with the Downhill Race Series #1. The course features the most technical downhill descents including upper Buffalo drop, lower portion of Sticks n Stones, and is for intermediate to advanced riders. An entry fee of $30 includes registration and a BBQ.

Grand Targhee 5-hour Cross Country Race is early in the morning on Sunday July 24th. A 5-hour race – the goal is to see how many loops can you do in 5 hours. Each loop will be about 10 miles, almost all on singletrack.

    Friday night party opens at Grand Teton Brewing in Victor with music from The Outfit, food vendors, raffles, bike shenanigans, a trials riding “teaser” show and BEER.

    Downhill race registration opens at Grand Targhee Resort
  • 9:00am
    Beginner (Sheep’s Bridge), intermediate (Mill Creek), advanced (S. Fork Horseshoe to Mahogany), and DH group rides
  • 9:30am
    Downhill race training runs start
  • 2:00pm
    Beginner (Sheep’s Bridge), intermediate (Horseshoe Loops), women’s (Horseshoe Loops) and DH group rides
  • 5:00pm
    Saturday night party opens in Driggs with food vendors, raffles, auctions, bike shenanigans and more beer.

    Registration opens at Grand Targhee Resort
    5-hour XC race begins at Grand Targhee Resort
  • 10:00am
    Beginner (Trail Creek Trail), Advanced (Red Creek), and DH group rides. Intermediate RipStoke clinic at Grand Targhee Resort
  • 2:00pm
    Beginner (Sheep’s Bridge) and intermediate (Rick’s Basin) group rides
  • 3:00pm
    RipStoke trials riding show at Grand Targhee Resort
    BBQ starts at Grand Targhee Resort.
  • 4:00pm
    Live music at Grand Targhee Resort with the Jet Black Ninja Funkgrass Unit.

About Teton Valley Trails and Pathways

Teton Valley Trails and Pathways (TVTAP) promotes a trails and pathways connected community. The organization brings together citizens, businesses, and local governments to expand the Valley’s opportunities for outdoor recreation and nature appreciation. TVTAP facilitates a Summer Trail Work day program which amasses over 1,200 hours of volunteer work annually in the National Forest. We also facilitate a Mountain Bike Festival as well races in the summer and winter to support our mission.
