the Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole Skiing Snowboarding

Every day is different… Standing atop Rendezvous Bowl upon exiting the tram, riders were greeted by ferocious winds. 60 mph gust ripped over the ridge line challenging those in its path to stay on their feet. The entire mountain was blown flat yielding snow with a consistency of sugar that melted to slush in lower elevations. “Fast” was the word of day up top. “Soft” was the word of the day at the bottom. Certain aspects of the mountain, such as Ten Sleep Bowl & The Cirque collected snow deposited from elsewhere in The Tetons providing soft turns reminiscent of the past week in Jackson Hole.
At one point, the Gondola, Thunder chair & Sublette chair were all blown down. The afternoon brought with it moments of spring skiing even provoking an appearance from the long forgotten sun. “Gaper Day” in Jackson Hole will bring with it plenty of smiles and good humor. The best place to see locals in action on April Fools Day? You guessed it.. the Thunder Chairlift!
