the Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole Skiing Snowboarding

Race Day

Stepping into the starting gate, raw athletism boils to surface revealing the warrior within. Outside influences fade leaving only primal instincts: Attack. Moments building into the crescendo are spent assessing the competition. Are those new skis? Is that aerodynamic? How come he got fruit snacks and I didn’t?

As Jackson Hole alumni put their money where their mouth is on Snow King at the Town Downhill, a youthful generation of tomorrow’s athletes raced for for inter-galactic bragging rights at Teton Village. Lingering hints of morning slumber evaporated as crowds arrived casually to lay their edges in the spring snow. Reggae rock vibes performed by the “Tram Jam” band shifted gears as day turned to night. The celebration of skiing brings people of all demographics together with a focus on fun. It can be said that power of place takes on greater meaning when it combines landscape and community.
