The Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole

It’s difficult to claim the title of “best skier on the mountain” in Jackson Hole. Today was different. My vote, and the vote of many others went to the crew of adaptive skiers continuously slaying 4,139 vertical feet of powder from open to close. The sight in Bernie’s Bowl of each skier attacking open snow fields with technical precision was truly inspiring. As they collected near the run out of the bowl to celebrate with a series of high-fives, I couldn’t help but be reminded that it’s all about the passion.

The six inches reported overnight were greeted by hungry riders anxious to resurrect memories of last weeks’ epic snow storm. Conditions in the higher elevations stayed true to form while the warmer temperatures at lower elevations effected the snow. Elsewhere on the mountain, groomers were hard at work preparing a freestyle course for the Dicks Ditch Banked Slalom competition this weekend. We’re exactly one month from the closing day at Jackson Hole. Time to prioritize.. -KW
