The Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole Skiing Snowboarding

“Ground Intelligence”
Approaching the Arial Tram, I paused to evaluate the setting. Planning the first run is a calculated maneuver requiring all available powder intel. Stumbling upon a recognizable face, I asked the friendship defining question. “So.. where’s the deepest snow on the mountain today?” Covered in white, the powdery figure leaned in as if to trade a government secret, “The chute.” Pressing the source for more I replied “Any chute in particular?” In a tone of absolute certainty, he looked me in the eye and said “All of them.”

The five day storm blanketing the region shows no sign of loosening its grip. Hazardous weather advisories continue to develop and mountain conditions are approaching the years’ best. If you happen to be vacationing in Jackson Hole this weekend, consider packing a snorkel. It could be deep! -KW
