The Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole Skiing Snowboarding

A Day at Targhee
“Were you here on Monday?” a young local asked on Targhee’s Blackfoot Chairlift. Clinging to this two seat relic of skiing yesteryear, I turned my head the slightest bit to respond, “Nah, I was in Jackson.” “O man! It was unreal!” Looking between my skis at the scantily tracked “groomer” below, I knew he spoke the truth. A cross between a forensic scientist and a ravenous vulture, I picked apart the remnants of ‘ghee’s two-day-old dump. While only a few inches had fallen the night before, pockets of wind-loaded powder hid behind trees and on north facing aspects. For a Jackson local, there could be few better options for a day away from the Vill, complete with carefree pow fields and huck-yo-meat cliffs!
