The Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole Skiing Snowboarding

The Power of Posse

Talking backcountry, it’s said again and again: “Go with a group of guys you trust.” Like most commandments passed down by skiing and snowboarding’s forefathers, this advice is invariably sound. Beyond the immediate safety concerns (which are paramount), a strong posse can bring you to places unimaginable on your own. Not just the geographic places, but the places within your own ability. It can be easy to fall into the comfortable lines where familiar turns allow a full showcasing of ability. But to be put in a place where each turn is unchartered, that’s where personal progression happens. So on this Valentine’s Day, give your buddies a couple extra high fives, because they’re the dudes and dudettes that make you love this place all the much more.
