Note to self: Rubber-necking to memorize lines on Four Pines while driving The Village Road is prohibited.
As the morning light poured upon the Tetons, the irresistible allure of the mountainside beckoned my attention. “Lines on the Pyramid!”— Eyes back on the road— “Is that couloir totally filled in?” –Eyes back on the road –”I’ve got to get to the village,” chatters the voice in my mind as I set my sights on the final stretch of road. “I’ve got to get to the village.”
Today’s cool temperatures were reflected on the wind-burnt faces of skiers and riders at the base. The spectacular morning light gave way to afternoon gray that continued to hint towards the possibility of a dusting. Knee-deep turns are still to be had both inbounds and out as the strong winds collect snow in the classic stash zones.
