Hundred Days

12/22/10

The Mountain Pulse Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Gray light dulled the landscape, transforming the mountain into a Russell Chatham painting where heavy trees stood silhouetted in the mist like wintery apparitions. Snow collected at the cusps of runs, displaced by slashing skis and snowboards. Throughout the day, scattered snowfall assuaged the high tempo of late, lending a sense of calm to this holiday season.
